In 2015, 36.252 people were killed by guns in the USA. 0 were killed by Teddy Bears. Yet there are more regulations for manufacturing Teddy Bears than guns. So we created the Teddy Gun. The unregulated Teddy Bear: a symbol for the lack of common sense gun regulations.

for Intimus/Kimberly-Clark.

“Maria vai com as outras” (Maria goes with others): it’s a common expression in Brazil used to denote those who just follow the crowd, who don’t think on their own. We are portraying the Marias who DON’T go with others. The girls who live by their own rules, who zag when everyone else zigs. After all, Intimus (Kotex) is about inviting women to have the confidence be themselves. “Sou Maria, mas não vou com as outras.” is our motto.

Marias is a short film that tells the story of six women called Maria. What they have in common? They are all authentic and live according to their rules. And the way they deal with their period gives the beginning to the whole plot. Six short films (3 min each) will be shown simultaneously in six Telecine channels. Each film will have a genre according to the channel (comedy, drama, action, etc) and a Maria as protagonist. The other Marias will play supporting roles in each other’s stories. Directed by Vera Egito.
